Michele Balan is a brash, New York stand-up comedian, and for the past 12 years has been appearing all over the country performing for both Gay and Straight audiences (she is bi-comical!).

Michele has shared the stage with Kathy Najimy, Jennifer Holiday, Taylor Dayne, Harvey Fierstein & Nell Carter.  She has appeared on Comedy Central, USA Network's USA Live and Up All Night, and on the Lifetime Network. Her performance venues range from the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the infamous Friars Club, the Dinah Shore Women's Weekend to the Improv in Los Angeles and Caroline's in New York.

She was a finalist on the 2006 season of NBC’s hit television show “Last Comic Standing”.

Her CD, "Neurotic by Nature," recorded in 1999 at the LA Improv, features Nell Carter singing a parody that Michele wrote. In 2004, Michele released her first DVD, "LIVE! Just Barely," recorded at Joe's Pub in New York.
